Visio 2007 Pages
A page is the canvas that you’ve been working on to create your Visio drawing. You can create multiple pages to house multiple, related Visio drawings in a single document. In this section, you will learn about Visio pages – how to create, edit, and manage them.
Creating New Pages
You can add new pages to a Visio drawing to have several drawings within a single Visio file.
- Click on the Insert menu and select New page.
- Name the page and click OK.
- A new page is inserted into your drawing.
Deleting a Page
If you’ve created multiple pages, you can delete the ones you don’t need. Right-click on the page you want to delete and select Delete Page:
Be careful though – Visio doesn’t ask for confirmation before deleting the page. You can still use Edit Undo though.
Showing and Hiding Rulers
There are rules you can use to align the shapes in your drawing. You can show or hide these rules from display. Click the View menu and select Rulers to show or hide the rulers on the screen.
Showing and Hiding the Grid
Visio includes a grid to help align your shapes. You can control whether or not you want to view the grid. Click on the View menu and select Grid.
Adding Guides
You can add a guide to your drawing to help align the shapes as you create the file. You can turn Guides on and off through the View menu. Select the menu and then choose Guides.
