Updating an Opportunity

Opportunities are listed on the Opportunities tab of the Contact Detail window for the associated contact. If the opportunity is associated with a group or company, you can access it from that record’s Opportunities tab, as well.

Any user with access to that record can update an opportunity, unless the opportunity is private.

To update an opportunity from one of the detail windows:

  1. Open the record associated with the opportunity (for example, the contact record or the company record).
  2. Select the Opportunities tab.
  3. In the list, find and double-click the opportunity.

The Opportunity dialog opens.

  1. Update the information as necessary and click OK.

You can also update an opportunity by double-clicking it in the Opportunity List.
