Network+ 2008 Tutorial
Section Review
In this section of the Network+2005 and Network+ 2008 tutorial, you have learned about network technologies. This has included an introduction to common protocols used in TCP/IP networks, IP addressing, routing, wireless networking and wireless networking security.
It is important to understand the foundations presented in this section to fully understand the rest of this tutorial. If you are new to networking, we recommend reviewing this material to ensure you understand how it fits into the Network+ exam and how you will use it once certified.
In the next section, we will be looking at Network Media and Topologies. This section was previously the first section in the Network+ 2005 exam.
Does my mac adresse change if I upgrade my computer with some other hardware? For example change the graphic card?
No, the MAC address is tied with the network card. If you upgrade another system component and not the network card, your MAC address will not change. A lot of network cards are integrated into the motherboard on newer computers so if your motherboard (system board) is switched out, you will likely have a new MAC address.
