Attaching Files to a Contact Record

Whenever you create or receive a file related to a contact, you can attach it to the contact record; this helps you keep all information related to a specific contact together, within easy reach when you need to discuss an opportunity or sale.

To attach a file to a contact record:

  1. At the bottom of the Contact Detail form, select the History tab.
  2. Click the Attach File button.

The Attach File dialog opens.

  1. Browse to the file you want to attach and click Open.

The attachment is displayed in the list on the History tab.

  1. To add details about the attachment, double-click it in the list. This opens the Edit History window.

To delete a history item or attachment, select it in the History list, right-click and select Delete Selected from the shortcut menu.
